The KMBS Food & Funfair Today Thank You, KMBS!

We arrived at 8.00am to set up our stall.
I truly appreciate Connie coming today because (A) I didn’t know how to get here (I cannot drive and listen to the GPS or look at a map – a bit of a malfunction of my brain), and (B) Connie had just returned from a long overseas trip from halfway across the world last night and here she is, not jet-lagged at all. I’m amazed. Connie says it’s all in the mind. Looks like she is right!
To have committed volunteers, helpers and friends who would put our cause above all else is truly a great blessing.
The crowd came in early. There were many eco-friendly products on sale.
Look at the crowd!
The Venerable (in orange robes) is Bhante Saranankara. AnimalCare started with his blessings. I went to him to seek his assistance to help me spread the message of neutering street animals to the Buddhist community and he told me to start a fund instead. The rest, as they say, is history.
Thank you, Venerable Sir.
Because of you, so many animals have been helped.
Our friendly “Incredible Hulk” strongman, Lester Hiew!
Ever since reading my book, “Do we have a Choice?”, Lester has become a pescetarian.
We could barely manage with three people, but we managed somehow. And Lester too had a puppy emergency this morning. And yet, he came. I am doubly blessed.
Now, this “red” that you see is NOT due to a malfunction of my camera. It’s because practically everything was red at the event! The canopies were red, the KMBS members were all in red. The tablecloths were red. So we were “seeing red” all day, but in a good way. Red = Prosperity for KMBS. The weather was also hot and humid; that added to the red and we all had free sauna for the day!
Above is a photo courtesy of Billy Tan – that’s the only photo of us three together.
Thank you, Bro Billy.
The hottest selling item from our booth today is….the Army Green Go Meatless tshirt! And little children came to buy keychains from Lester. I think Lester created a fan club today. Many little girls kept coming back to buy keychains from him.
We closed at 3.15pm.
It had been a long day, being on our feet, but we had a great time (plus a good sauna to boot!).
We wish to thank Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society for their very kind invitation to let us participate in their event today. Thank you for helping us help the animals!
Stock-check!
P.S. Can you spot Tabs?
