Those of you who have been following our work in Romania will appreciate this wonderful rescue from Norica Prigoana.

“Foxy was found abandoned, a long time probably, at the edge of a forest. Two classmates of my daughter Christina saw this dog

extremely skinny and alone, at the edge of the forest, with a broken leg. They stop to feed him, but Foxy’s despair of being left there alone was greater than the need to eat. Though he was hungry, he preferred to jump right into their car!

These two wonderful young people, show that in Romania there are golden hearted people. They decided to take him home and I got a message to help. I took him to the Vet and learned he is a pure bred fox terrier around 7 years old. He has a very old fracture that healed wrong but it is ok. Foxy weighs only 8 kg, is very friendly, leash goes smoothly and he even knows several commands, which means that Foxy had a family…. He spent a lot of time in the woods until he weakened so much that scarcely stand up when he was found, Foxy will remain until next week who found him, then he will be taken us, he needs proper nutrition, vitamins and proper care.
