Packing For Kinrara Mettas Event (16th September 2013) See You There!!

The MOST tedious part of an event is the preparation for it, the packing of the merchandise, deciding what to bring for the event and doing the inventory. It’s the part I dread doing because I find it mentally unchallenging and I often drift off to writing emails or blogging as that is more challenging than counting tshirts, tying them up, labeling and doing inventory! Hence I end up taking a whole day to do it.
I started this morning at about 10am….
As tedious as it is, it helps when you have able assistants on hand to lend a helping hand.
However, when it comes to packing tshirts, the sprayers (Cow, Bunny and Indy) MUST be shoo-ed out to the pantry. These three cannot stand any new smells (and this includes the plastic wrappers of the tshirts) and they will have a massive spraying spree if they are allowed to be in the room.
So, I shoo-ed them out and since the rest (except Tabs) were out in the pantry, I left all of them outside.
Tabs was with me and that’s fine. She doesn’t spray.
For the first time ever…I had a new band of assistants.
I opened the grille and in came…
The bravest of ‘em all – Rosie!
Followed by Stormtrooper Vincent Starr.
By then, Tabs had ventured out and…
…found herself a nice little safe spot inside the storeroom!
Next came Timmy.
And Ginger, who was a bit cautious.
Daffodil kept away. She decided she’d play it safe and just watch from a distance.
The whole gang at the pantry were fast asleep by afternoon and they did not know what had happened in the room!
The patio family was having a field day exploring the room and sleeping on the towels and baskets.
I know, there will probably be massive spraying later on when things get back to status quo. I’m all prepared for that.
At around 3pm, Indy woke up and came to the window…
Oh-oh…
What has happened??? We have been invaded!!!
By then, only Ginger was in the room. He somehow managed to find two toy mice in the room (I don’t know where he found them as they had been lost for a long time) and started playing with them.
At long last, the patio cats had the opportunity to come into the room – it is something they have often longed for as they sit outside the grille wishing they could come in. But outside isn’t such a bad place too… But you know how it is that the grass is always greener on the other side?
The last thing I have to do for every event, after everything is packed, is to update this little display board:
It is a good feeling updating it as the numbers keep growing each time.
Thank you, everyone, for your support!
There….all packed…after 1o hours!
Those are just Primal boxes. We are not selling Primal at tomorrow’s event as the stalls are usually quite small, so we won’t have space. We hope to sell our Grey Animal Crossing and Army Green Meatless tshirts tomorrow! Sales has been pretty slow. But then again, my friends tell me there has been a glut in online sales over the past few months. We also have all the other tshirts, our keychains, soap, toothpaste, earrings and of course, the free books.
And the patio cats have a temporary jungle gym to play on!
The titans soon came back into the room and guess what…there was NO massive spraying!!
Yes, the stars are all aligned, folks!
See you tomorrow at the event!
