Anyone could see by looking that Calrose that he was blind. The tiny white dog had eyes like a cloudy sky and he walked slowly, not sure if that next step might take him down a deep hole or onto a hot surface. But after months of somehow managing to stay alive on the streets, Calrose was suddenly lifted by angels.

One animal lover noticed the little one about to step out onto a busy street with fast moving cars. She dove onto the dog and held him tight. “Not today little one. Not today.”

At the clinic, the doctor confirmed that Calrose (his new name) was totally blind from cataracts that had gone untreated. He had hundreds of ticks on his body and his teeth were rotten and his breath was terrible. But Fiona (one of his rescuers) carried him tightly and told him everything would be all right. He stopped shivering and began to lick Fiona�s face.

Today Calrose looks like a brand new dog. You wouldn’t recognize him in a million years! Continue clicking through this photo album to see how his appearance has changed.
