POLICE DEPUTY HELPS SAVE YOUNG BARRED OWL

Today we celebrate Deputy Peter Robbins of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in Florida who showed compassion for an animal in need. Recently, a call came in about a young owl on the Suncoast Parkway. A good Samaritan and Deputy Robbins managed to capture the injured owl and Deputy Robbins took him to the Sky Harbor Wildlife Rescue center. The owl is expected to make a full recovery.

We’re always on the look out for positive, uplifting stories that showcase the everyday acts of kindness that transform the lives of animals. If you have a story to share, please do so on our website here http://animalrescuechase.com/rescue_showcase/rescue_showcase.php

Animal Rescue Chase

The Great Animal Rescue Chase celebrates the art of animal rescue with a worldwide race to rescue one million. It’s a free event, open to all, and is perhaps the only global animal rescue event aimed at helping any animal in distress, anywhere in the world. Our ambition is to create a culture of enthusiasm and pride in animal activism. We believe in teaching, by example, that there is a hero in each of us just waiting to be unleashed. Empowered animal lovers can not only save lives, but build the momentum for powerful animal welfare reform.
