I was helping a friend feed her animals while she was out of town. Everything was going great until one morning when I walked up to her front door and saw a little blue blanket laying on her porch. I then saw a posted note stuck to the front door that read: “Hi I found this cat abandoned and abused. He has a sore on his front leg. I am hoping you can help him. I live down the street. P.S. I am only 13.”

She left her phone number. I looked around and did not see anyone. I went to work and thought about this poor cat all day long. I called the number to get a description of the cat and to find out a little more about him. I stopped back by on my way home to let the dog out and when I walked up to her house there was this cat sitting on the stairs almost unable to move. I had tears in my eyes at the sight of him. I ran and got a carrier and scooped him up.

I rushed to my vets office. They couldnt believe what they were seeing. This cat had scabies so bad he was almost unrecognizable.

As the weeks went on he got better and better. I will never understand how such a sweet cat was never fixed or taken care of. It is being guessed that he is between 3-5 years old. We named him Diamond because it looked like he had a diamond on his forehead. He has had so many people praying and pulling for him. He truly is a miracle kitty. It has now been 8 weeks since he came into my life and he is doing well. http://animalrescuechase.com/rescue_showcase/story.php?id=1136

Animal Rescue Chase

The Great Animal Rescue Chase celebrates the art of animal rescue with a worldwide race to rescue one million. It’s a free event, open to all, and is perhaps the only global animal rescue event aimed at helping any animal in distress, anywhere in the world. Our ambition is to create a culture of enthusiasm and pride in animal activism. We believe in teaching, by example, that there is a hero in each of us just waiting to be unleashed. Empowered animal lovers can not only save lives, but build the momentum for powerful animal welfare reform.
