In any dog shelter, Distemper is one of the most dreaded and feared illnesses. So when Peter has a running nose, some eye discharge and a bit of cough, we were most concerned despite the fact that he has full and up-to-date vaccinations.
As such, Dr Au recommended a distemper test just to rule it out . We are really relieved when the test came back negative albeit it having only 70% accuracy.
You may see that Peter has some bluish hue to his fur. Fret not, it’s just Magtox and iodine to help heal the dog fight founds on his body. Yes, this boy of ours has gotten into a fight with few other furrizens at the shelter few days ago. The woulds should heal in time.
