Mynah Bird House...

Manfred, Albert, Gustav and parents get a new home
A large number of Soi Dog supporters have asked to see the new home for the Mynah chicks recently rescued. Well here it is. The whole family seems quite pleased with it particularly given the amount of rain of late. (The whole story follows for those who have not read it)
Soi Dog has rescued many other animals besides cats and dogs but this was a bit unusual. Staff found these 3 mynah bird hatchlings in the grass in the dog exercise area next to the cat hospital. A search indicated no visible nest. Reggie placed them in a box and syringed some food into them and then placed the box back where they were found to see if parents arrived and before long they did. In the meantime Al hastily constructed a nesting box. As he fixed it high off the ground above the chicks the parents repeatedly swooped on him but eventually the box was fixed and chicks put in. Mum and Dad have now adopted the box and can be seen entering to feed the chicks, so a happy ending though the Mynah birds need to realise that hatching chicks in a dog exercise area is not a good idea.
