We have fully sponsored RM60 (Kembiri rate) for the neutering of this male cat. This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM20) and Berjaya Cares (RM40).

Dear Kah Yein,
Hello again. My name is Hue Yew Hien and I wrote to you the other day on Facebook under the name of Patsy Hue. First and foremost, thank you for your reminder that you’ve sent on Facebook and so sorry for the delay in replying here as I am rather preoccupied at the moment. As I’ve written before on Facebook’s message, I am wondering now whether I should retell the reason for asking for a subsidy to help me neuter the 3 cats which I often feed at work…
I work at SMK Sierramas, Sungai Buloh, and I’m a teacher. There, there used to be 4 cats whom I feed every day since I started working there last year, 3 females and 1 male. The male cat died earlier this year and the cleaner said she found him covered in blood, most probably due to an accident and he came back to his ‘home’ to die. She buried him. A few months back, there came another male cat to replace him, so I was back to feeding 4 cats again. Until last week…
When I started feeding them last year, the 3 females were still kittens. I estimate their age to be about 1 1/2 – 2 years old now. I am unsure of the current male cat, but by his looks, he is a young male, most probably more than 1 year old. Within this range of time, the female cats have bred a lot of times and although I’ve seen their kittens when they were less than 1 month old, they were not seen after that. Since the females live in the drainage systems of the school area since they were kittens themselves, I suspect that they brought their kittens there too, but they were all flushed away when it rained.
The recent demise of one of the females have brought me to you, as I do not wish to see the sufferings of these cats anymore. I wish to apply for a subsidy frommyanimalcare.orgasI work in an environment, where most of my colleagues (even though they are cat lovers) think it’s not good to neuter animals. To ask for funds from them for something that they frown upon is, therefore, useless, to say the least. Believe me, I have tried asking before, more than once.
Another rescuer (name withheld) has also advised me to contact you. She has also offered her assistance in helping to send the 2 females and 1 male to Klinik Kembiri DBKL-SPCA, and later board them for 5 days prior release back to their own environment. The estimated amount is as follow:
2 females: RM70 x 2 = RM140
1 male: RM50 x 1 = RM 50
Boarding: RM15 (3 cats x 5 days) = RM225
Estimated grand total: RM415
Attached is the picture of the cats mentioned for neutering. Please advise. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Patsy
P/S: one of the dead female’s kittens were found by our security guard last Friday and has been reunited with its sibling. Both are now adopted by my colleague. I hope there is happy news for the dead female’s siblings too, one day.
We explained to Patsy that we cannot subsidise boarding, but we will be happy to fully sponsor the neutering and spaying if it is Kembiri charges (which is usually lower than our maximum subsidy rates).

Hi Kah Yein,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Please note that the neutering fee is only an estimation, as I understand that Klinik Kembiri charges depend on each cat’s weight. I’ve never taken the cats to the clinic before, so I am unsure of the exact charge.
I will need to discuss with (the rescuer) as she will send them to the clinic, not I. I will get back to you ASAP. All in all, thank you for your nod of approval. Please take note that your organisation is the only one I’ve asked for sponsorship. Since you are unable to subsidise the boarding, I might have to ask for help from my colleagues. I do hope they are able to help here.
Regards,
Patsy

Hi Kah Yein,
Sadly, (the rescuer) is unable to help as she has her own commitments. This means I’ll have to foresee the whole procedure alone. I have tried asking my colleagues but the feedback on funding the cats’ boarding is not too positive. Is there any other way that myanimalcare can help in funding for the boarding too? Please help me help them..
Desperate,
Patsy

Hi Kah Yein,
For your info, I’ve brought the male cat for neutering last Saturday at Klinik Kembiri DBKL-SPCA. Receipt will be sent to you soon. I’ve decided to send the male for neutering first, as the two female cats are still nursing their babies. Will send the two females after Raya. Hope that is ok on your side.
Thanks,
Patsy
The reason our payout was only done today is that Patsy posted the form without the receipt, so we had to wait for the receipt to be posted again.
