Patchwork Blanket The Online Bidding Begins!!
Tadahh!!
My mum has finished the first patchwork blanket for our experimental online bidding system!
Here is how it works:
1. Six readers have “ordered” the blanket so they will be informed first, in chronological order, and given the opportunity to make the first bid. If they decide to pass, the opportunity will be given to the next person in the queue. After these six are done, it will be open bidding and everyone gets a fair chance.
2. We will close the bid after approximately 2-3 days (to be fair to those who can only access the internet from their workplace) and the highest bidder gets to purchase the blanket. The deadline will be announced in the blogpost.
3. Bidding is done online by posting a comment in the blogpost. No worries if I don’t moderate your comment immediately as the comments are in chronological order and the time (you made the comment) is stated clearly when I moderate and publish it.
I’ve never done this before (!), so if there is a better system, please do post a comment and let me know!!
Let’s try this first round first.
Our bidder in the queue (first in line) is Jasmine Ong from Melaka and her opening bid is RM150!!
And here is the blanket….
My mum’s cost is RM80 so this amount will go back to her and anything extra will go to our Fund for the animals.
The previous blanket sales (of RM50 each) were all donated by my mum, 100%, to our Fund.
We have RM150 from Jasmine Ong.
Do I hear a higher bid?
Going, going….(not so soon!!).
Bidding closes at 2pm on Tuesday, 13th August 2013.
