The bees are dying because of the use of pesticides and fungicides on the plants whose flowers they take pollen from.
It is time to reflect upon the use of these toxic pesticides and fungicides which affects us directly because it is used on the plants that we consume.
The meat-eaters would say, “There…we told you so! So, eat meat, it’s safer.”
But wait a minute, what about the hormones and antibiotics pumped into factory-farmed animals and the adrenaline produced by animals just before they are (brutally) slaughtered? And what about the fact that these animals eat grains (which are from plants).
And of course, there is the cruelty issue which nobody can deny.
So what do we eat?
Home-grown vegetables!! I don’t use any pesticides on mine.
And remember what a farmer said? He said healthy vegetables do not attract pests. Aha…there you have it! If you only plant for your own consumption, you have will enough nutrients, good soil and time to care for your vegetables.
So what does it boil down to?
Do not be greedy, right? There is no need to make money out of everything.
Plant enough for your own consumption, eat and be healthy!
I know of a family who really plants all their vegetables in their own garden in a linked house (now how much land does that have)? The husband converted their postage stamp sized garden into a vegetable plot to plant veges for his wife (and children) after the wife survived 2nd stage nasal cancer. I know of another family whose husband also plants enough variety of vegetables for their own consumption. No need to buy any, the wife told me. He does all the planting. She only harvests them for cooking.
When there is a will, there is a way.
Beemageddon, folks. Beware…
