Seeking Facebook & Websites to Share It Next Week!
Next week is CHIMP WEEK, a time when we’ll be shedding light on the exquisite work of chimpanzee rescue centers in Cameroon and Congo. This irreplaceable sanctuaries rescue and rehabilitate chimpanzees who have been harmed. Chimpanzees are incredibly intelligent and sensitive animals who simply want to live with family and in peace as we do. Here you see Ilor (dominant male) comforting Bazou (another adult male) during his early days at the Limbe Wildlife Center. This behavior would be extremely uncommon in the wild, but after living his whole life in a wooden box, Bazou had so much to learn about living with other chimpanzees and his emotions frequently overwhelmed him. As of today, Bazou is truly enjoying his new home and has an incredibly positive relationship with the others.
CAN YOU HELP GET THE WORD OUT?
Do you have a popular Facebook page, website, blog or other venue that might be willing to help us share CHIMP WEEK with the goal of raising funds to provide food, veterinary care and round-the-clock caregivers at these sanctuaries? Do you know someone who loves animals and might be willing to help spread the word? We’ll read all the comments and suggestions below and we thank you for helping us prepare for this special event next week!
