Responsible Cat Feeding (from Cat Welfare Society, Singapore)

Please share widely (applies to dog-feeding too):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSTHS1Y7BGw&feature=youtu.be

We’ve received email complaints from a few people regarding irresponsible dog-feeding in certain areas in the Klang Valley. The people who wrote to us were reporting these cases out of goodwill because if such news gets to the council, you know what will happen to the poor dogs. And why? It is because the humans who feed them had not been responsible and their actions make the residents angry.

Angry residents = Complaints = Capture by councils = Euthanasia.

In fact, another reader reported that irresponsible dog-feeding in her area had led to angry residents poisoning the dogs.

Also, during our meeting with the MPSJ, the council officers also mentioned that irresponsible feeders were a problem as well.

So yes, please feed the street animals, but please do so responsibly.

We owe this to the animals.

We urge you to share this link as widely as you can or pass the message along to feeders. Let’s cultivate the good habit of responsible feeding. Always clean up after the animals have eaten. Saying “But I am very busy, or I have other areas to feed” is not an acceptable reason at all.
