Lemongrass' Story...

Lemongrass Story

Long time Soi Dog supporter and local dog rescuer Sonya Klapko, recently rescued Lemongrass and brought her to Soi Dogs shelter.

She was a healthy and much-loved street dog at Surin beach for around six years (Sonya saw her regularly) until she disappeared a few weeks ago. Sonya noticed Lemongrass missing and spent several days searching for her finally finding her near the Lemongrass restaurant.

Lemongrass was in a very bad way and clearly had been struck by a car, leaving her with a badly dislocated shoulder and barely able to walk. Lemongrass was no longer able to fend for herself and when found was severally malnourished and dehydrated, unable to find food for weeks. Additionally cancerous tumors were found on her elbow which may call for amputation.

Cross your fingers for Lemongrass and we will keep you posted here on the poor girls progress
