Spaying Subsidy For A Female Dog (Ralph Ravindrans)

We have subsidised RM150 for the spaying of Esco, this female dog rescued by Ralph Ravindran. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

Dear Dr. Chan,
My name is Ralph Ravindran. I live in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya.
On 22 December 2012, a stray female dog had followed me home when I was returning home from a walk. I fed her on that day and ever since then, she has been sheltering herself under my car that I have parked outside of the house. I have tried bringing her into my home but unfortunately, she tried her level best to escape from the house to the point that I have let her be where she is because she is happier doing her own thing.
What I didn’t know was that she was pregnant. I only knew she was on the day she gave birth to her puppies on 16th January 2013. She gave birth to 6 puppies on a neighbours drain. Unfortunately, 2 had passed away due to the heat. I had built a make shift pen for the dog and her 4 puppies to live in until the weaning period is over.
The weaning period is over now and I have managed to get adopters for all the puppies. I tried once again to bring her into the house with the puppies but she insist of escaping from the house. So, now, she comes and go from under the car as she pleases. Sometimes, she will disappear for a few hours or 2 days before returning.
Due to this, I would like to get her spayed before she gets pregnant again. I would certainly be happy to put her up for adoption at one point when she is ready. Right now, the whole neighbourhood has come to love her but again, she loves being free rather than be in someone’s house.
With that said, I would like to apply for the spaying & vaccination subsidy for the female dog. I will take care of her until she is ready to be released. Also, the procedure will be done after the adopters take the respective puppies to their home. All the puppies will be in their new home by 4th May 2013.
