Following the post, I requested help from Maslinda Abd Talib and she agreed. Maslinda then contacted Ms Kyi and so far, the following has been arranged:

Hi

i just received her sms, she’s called mie mie. she just texted me saying she cant put the cat in cage coz the cat is scared (of course, he’s stray cat)
she said she’ll contact me whenever the cat is available. but earlier i have arranged to get the cat at about 3-4 pm today, that’s why i asked her to put the cat in cage.
i already told her that my place is far from puchong, so she has to put the cat in cage or assure me that the cat is there when i arrive, so that i can arrange my journey. i cant simply2 go puchong whenever the cat is available. u knowla puchong also like subang/usj..jam all the time..heheheFrom:Maslinda AT

can

now we try to arrange some meet up nearer in case the cat is there. she’ll seek help from her supervisor to send her to the meet up point, or maybe straight to my place

We thank Maslinda for responding to our request for help. We hope the cat can be rescued and brought to the vet for treatment. Ms Kyi had already brought the cat to the vet’s but she decided not to get the cat treated as she said it’s cancer and the treatment would be prolonged.

We will sponsor the treatment of this cat (50% from our Medical Fund, 50% from Angel Inc.) but we need a rescuer to take charge of this cat.

Maslinda was initially worried it might be sporo. No worries even if it is, because we have 2 vets who might be willing to take in and board sporo cats. For zoonotic disease, we will make an exception by subsidising the boarding charges.

One step at a time now. Catch the cat first, then bring the cat to the vet to be properly diagnosed.

Let’s pray for the cat’s safety and wellbeing.

so tomorrow i might be going to mie mie’s house instead of her workplace.

wah, panjangnye nama. i think macam male je, from the pic

she said the cat not eating today. tadi i dah nak pegi coz her supervisor tak jadi tolong htr. but the cat is not around. tu i suruh dia tangkap put in cage jugak2 petang ni if jumpa. cover the cage, bg privacy sikit
I thought we should give the cat a name, rather than keep referring to him as “the cat”. How about “Ongsan”, to give it a Burmese sound? I earlier suggested a rather longish name which was too much of a mouthful!
