Visiting Bonny Today

I visited Bonny this afternoon. Our sprightly girl seemed very happy and the vet said she is (surprisingly) doing very well. I confirmed with the vet that the entire spleen had been removed. Apparently, it is possible to do without the spleen, for dogs and humans:�http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080121073802AAVEk9v

In Bonny’s case, it was a necessary removal as the entire spleen had been severely diseased and was not functioning anymore.

In any case, Bonny is doing well and we hope she will recover soon.
