A few weeks ago the Harmony Fund helped with a flurry of rescues for hunting dogs left to starve in Spain. VivActin, a yioung animal welfare association, led the interventions to save these dogs. We thought you’d like to see a photo of Freckles who gave birth to her pups a few daysafter rescue. The little one she’s nuzzling is called Alvin. Isn’t he a beauty!
Viv Wharton who leads the association reports, “Their care takers still cry at the thought of how the dogs were when they arrived. None of us can believe why, or what, the owner could have been like to have considered them not even worth feeding. The dogs are all coming along so well now and the pups are growing by the day.”
A HUGE thank you to all of our supporters who helped with veterinary care and emergency shelter for these dogs. More on these rescues here http://animalrescuechase.com/news/march-2013/rescue-blitz-underway-for-abandoned-dogs.html
