I was watching a Barbra Streisand youtube yesterday and she quoted Archbishop Desmond Tutu just before her rendition of the song “Somewhere”.
We are different.
Some use this to alienate, dominate and bully.
Some use it to understand and extend a helping hand.
When lost in the jungle, it might be the sniffer dogs who will find and rescue us. When lost at sea and surrounded by sharks, it might be the dolphins who will save our lives.
But in our concrete jungle, it’s our turn to help the animals because they are helpless in this world created and denatured by us.
Let’s live and let live.
