This is a true and inspirational story of Lucky.

Lucky was born with her right front and hind legs deformed. As a puppy, she was sent to SPCA Seberang Perai’s shelter by a good Samaritan. Her deformity does not stopped her from leading a normal life just like other puppies. In fact, her strong will of living led her to use only her left front and hind legs to move around. Volunteers and visitors often looked in awe at her, moving and running around freely as if she is no difference from others. At times, we wonder, maybe she is not even aware of her own indifference. This makes her a “Celebrity” among the volunteers and regular visitors of the shelter.

A volunteer cum committee member of the Society, Richard developed a special bond for Lucky and one day, decided to bring her back and give her a true loving home. Lucky was allowed to sleep in the same room as her owner and have special made meal at her own favorite spot everyday. At last, Lucky has found her lifetime companion. She stays loyal to his owner and listen to no others except her owner’s instruction. Lucky does not even need to be put on leash as she will just follow her owner around, and will never wonder off on her on.

Richard said, “If anyone wants to adopt her, he/she will need to love her more than I do.” And I doubt there is anyone out there who can be as perfect an owner to Lucky as Richard.

This video is truly inspiring as it shows how a dog can remains happy and smiling regardless of her handicapped and deformity. It definitely shows great courage and will.

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
