Purpose Built Sterilization Suite...

Work has started on the construction of the sterilization suite at Soi Dog’s shelter. Many thanks to local volunteers for lending their time and expertise to this important project!

With the number of sterilizations performed on Phuket at around 10,000 per year it has become essential to build a clinic dedicated solely to sterilization.

This allows for dogs brought in for sterilization to be kept separate from other dogs possibly with infectious diseases such as distemper. The sterilization suite also allows for more efficient sterilization of dogs as well as an improved environment for their post sterilization recovery.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
