A Cat-Lover Turned Dog-Lovers Story

Here is another heartwarming sharing from one of our readers:
It takes a lot of courage to protect innocent animals. You remember (name withheld)? She’s the ones with many rescued cats. Eversince I’ve knownher she’s really afraid of dogs (turned white and pale) eventhe smallest dogcamenear her at the vet. But she had seen me with dogs i.e. rottweilers, pit-bulls etc.
She moved toa newplace and she started feeding a stray dog – we discussed re the issue on the how she was made to believe that dogs are completely forbidden. I told her otherwise – dogs cannot be eaten just like cats but if you abuse a dog you still book your place in hell.In fact,Muslim sect Sufism(Turkish)is vegetarians.
Three weeks’ ago I got a frantic call from her – need to take an accident victim, a dog to the vet.Idirect her to myvet. To my surprise this tinyyoung lady with thefear of dogs had stopped traffic on the way to work -dragged and carried an injured 20+ kg dog to safety. Two lorry drivers stopped and helped her to put the dog into her car. The dog died upon arrival at the vet. She was devastatedand crying. We called Pet Memorial to care for his final journey and gave the respect he deserves. I felt it was a turning point in her life – themouse has turned into a Lion. (She gets bullied a lot – I always tell her tostop being mousyand walk as if she’s 10 feet tall!)
Now,more than ever we need the courage to protect the innocent animals of which the act of cruelties on them had increased lately due tonegatives propaganda’s from all sides.Lately we have been getting so many negatives literatures in our letter boxes of which one was really endangering the lives of canines in particular.
