Hello Dr. Chan.
Just a quick update on Walter. I thought you’d be happy to know that Walter is on the up and up. He came by several times to my house during the last week, in fact he showed up the very next day after you last emailed me asking about him! He’s looking much better now, and cleaner too..as I had given him a bath just before I released him after his time at the vet. I did a quick hydration check by pulling on his skin. Good news, his skin is quite supple & returned back to its normal position quickly, so it seems that Walter’s hydration level is back to normal levels. I am happy and relieved as well. Please see the attached photos of him…one I took while he was eating his meal & the other when I found him dozing in my neighbour’s backyard. I am so relieved to see he’s ok now, and I couldn’t have done it without your help.

We have shared with Dani the dangers of putting on collars, especially for community cats who are free-roaming. This is because cats jump and climb and entanglement of the collar has caused strangulation and death in certain cases. Detachable collars are much preferred for this reason.
