Meet Cupcake, a cat who came to the USA from Turkey with her mother and siblings about a year ago. Here she is trying to be brave during a veterinary exam today. She has juvenile gingivitis, a rather benign sounding condition but actually it’s quite destructive in the mouths of these cats. Each member of this cat family suffers from oral health issues, but they are under the care of Dr. Carle near our Massachusetts headquarters. Dr. Carle grew up in Turkey and knows the ordeal of Turkish street cats. We’re so proud of all the lives of cats and dogs that have been transformed thanks to our supporters and the extraordinary volunteer efforts led by Manuela Wroblewski.
