JUST RESCUED – WHAT A REASON TO CELEBRATE!

This dog and her companion are pure breeds and the hunter who owned them paid a lot of money for them. But he no longer wanted them so had condemned them to die.

The dogs were surviving on loaves of stale bread, when he remembered, and water perhaps once a week. The female was chained and shows signs of recently giving birth and the male was so frightened and skinny. We now must get authorities to search for puppies on the property.

Rescuer Vivienne Wharton got the dogs to safety today, on her birthday of all days. In fact, this week we at the Harmony Fund are in the midst of sponsoring a blitz of rescues, going behind fences and inside dark barns in several countries to take dogs like these away from those who have betrayed them. The irony of this is that a dog like this would lay down its life to protect her �owner�. Now, today, despite the danger of confronting these abusers, rescuers risked their lives to do what�s right.
