WHERE IS THIS LITTLE OASIS?

Believe it or not, this is the rescue room of a veterinary clinic in Avsallar, Turkey. The cats seen here were all battered and abused street cats until they were brought to safety by volunteer Manuela Wroblewski.

All year long, the Harmony Fund sponsors the care of these rescued cats, food for hundreds of others in the streets, as well as spay/neuter. There are some very hard days here for Manuela as she and the volunteers she leads are witness to extreme cruelty and often threatened themselves for helping the street ‘vermin’. But determination runs deep and, as you can see, makes for dozens of tiny little miracles each month.
