John & Gill Dalley accompanied by representative from the Network For Animal Protection (NetAP – Sweden) are in the NE of Thailand meeting with government officials to discuss the ongoing campaign to stop the dog meat trade and continuing steps to care for the dogs rescued from the trade.
Many thanks to the officers of the Royal Thai Police for providing safe escort for the group while visiting Ban Tha Rae (translation the butchers village) which is the major hub of the trade. Due to pressures being applied to stop the trade it is virtually impossible for non Thais to safely visit Ban Tha Rae.
