Medical Subsidy For Injured Cats Surgery (Michelle Lee Soke Huis)
We received the following case recommended by the vet: Michelle Lee had rescued an injured cat with a bad leg. Initially the vet said the leg had to be amputated, but upon examination, an attempt was made to save the leg by doing an IM-pin insertion. The surgery was successful and the cat is recovering now, but would need 5 weeks’ cage rest for this purpose.
We have already banked in RM500 as our subsidy (the bill was RM1215) and upon Michelle’s request, we agreed to source more funds to help with the bill (if our sponsors agree) but upon condition that Michelle emails us photos of the cat weekly. Michelle did not reply to this.
Hence, our subsidy stays at RM500 until we hear from her.

As stated above, we have already offered to raise extra funds for this bill on condition that Michelle emails photos of the cat weekly, but she did not respond to this.
I hope the cat will recover soon since the surgery had been a success and all is needed now is good post-op care. I have spoken with the vet and he says the cat just requires cage rest for 5 weeks and monitoring of the wound to ensure that it heals well.
Should we hear from Michelle, we will publish an update on this case.
