Homeless dogs at Hulu Langat

We are blessed that Dr Lee of Lee Veterinary Clinic and Dr Hoo of Animal Veterinary Center are supporting our effort to Kim Ho’s mission – “Care and Neuter ” – to curb population of strays at Hulu Langat and improve their welfare.

  
Very often, SOS text messages are sent to us regarding abandoned newborn pups loitering along busy streets and drains in need of immediate help and care.  We are not able to handle/respond to these calls/messages due to our shelter’s constraints i.e limited regular volunteers, fosterers, space & etc.  The saddest experience we have was, we found 7 pups with their mum, but………. none of the pups survived.  This sad case would never have happened if the mother of the pups was caught and spayed.

?As we know, it is very difficult to befriend stray dogs. They do not trust humans. Have you tried? Offering them food does not always work. They will avoid or run away although hungry and desire their favorite food like bone/juicy meat.
Last 2 months, Kim Ho managed to capture her first batch of 5 female dogs named Isa, Ivory, Black Girl, Bella and Elsa. Of the 5, 3 were pregnant. We had all 5 dogs neutered at Dr. Lee’s clinic for a total cost of RM1,535.00. The first donation of RM1,000 towards Kim Ho’s mission was received from Mr. Kok who is our regular donor and strong supporter. Thank you Mr. Kok for your generosity and caring heart towards our 260+ sheltered dogs and Kim Ho’s mission. No words are sufficient to express our Gratitude, nonetheless a big THANK YOU goes to out to you!

Second Chance

Second Chance is a group of like-minded animal lovers who met through the Internet when they read of Aunty Kiew's plight.

They do their very best to render help whenever time permits and within their limited capacities. They hope to find good homes for as many homeless animals as possible. Currently, there are 100+ animals rescued and fostered by this group.
