This Year of the Snake, why not sponsor Stubby, the rescued python?!
Stubby the ball python was being kept by a member of the public who was unaware of the restrictions on keeping snakes as pets in Singapore (its illegal!), Stubby was handed over to ACRES in August 2011, all set to begin his second chance at a better life.
Stubby was likely to have been bred in captivity or smuggled all the way from Africa to Singapore. Hes now enjoying life as a snake rather than as a pet in someones home, slithering around new furniture in his enclosure he loves his hide box and maintaining a healthy appetite. Besides demonstrating this exploratory behaviour, Stubby also enjoys taking a quick dip before shedding his skin!
Stubby is one of the over 70 wild animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade and now being looked after at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) . For just $1 a day, you can sponsor his everyday care, giving him a second chance at a better life.
