Snakes naturally live in Singapores parks and reserves, and if youre lucky enough to spot one, stand back and watch their graceful movement from a distance.

Most snakes are not venomous, although we do have some venomous species in Singapore, so you do need to be cautious if you come across a snake.

Snakes will only attack as a very last resort, if they feel threatened and cannot escape.

Theyd rather save their venom for catching their prey. Most of the time they will quickly move away from us.

Snakes are naturally shy, and will avoid humans if possible.

Here are some tips to keep both you and the snake safe if you bump into one another!
