Remeber Sea Lion, Rescued From The Dog Meat Trade? Here's An Upda

Remember Sea Lion,? — rescued from the illegal dog meat trade and brought to America on his way to his forever home in Australia.Sea Lion captured the hearts of thousands worldwide and has become a famous mascot for stopping the trade. (If you would like to see a short video of Sea Lion and learn how you can help the thousands of other less fortunate dogs rescued from the dog meat trade please become a member of the “Magic 1000” and donate towards their care at: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/magic-1000-club-2 )Last week Sea Lion attended Texas A & M University with Arthur E.Benjamin of American Dog Rescue. He saw a full team of Doctors and Nurses for his diagnosis. The news was no surprise and not the best news for Sea Lion as he will need a number of different operations to solve the following problems:• Bilateral hip dysplasia• External rotation of the right femur• Left medial patellar luxation: grade 3/4• Quadriceps and gastrocnemius tie down of the right pelvic limbHis foster mum Linda says the following about Sea Lion: As for themedical prognosis I am actually encouraged that they think so much can be done for him. Yes, he will have some long recovery times from the various procedures, but let me tell you, this is a very resilient dog.He takes whatever life throws at him and keeps that tail wagging… Ithink he’ll do great. His best Buddy is Bandit (pictured in one of the photos with Sea Lion), Arthur’s rescued dog and one of the thousands of dogs Arthur and the team at American Dog Rescue have helped. We will wait for Sea Lion to grow some more over the next threemonths before any type of surgery and most if not all will be done in Australia. Please consider becoming one of the Magic 1000 so other dogs like Sea Lion can be saved: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/magic-1000-club-2
