ACRES Lao PDR Education Centre & Auditorium

The ACRES Education Centre & Auditorium in Lao PDR was recently constructed, kindly made possible by a generous grant from the US Embassy there. US Embassy staff and family, children from the Boys Scouts Association, ACRES and Lao Zoo staff had a lovely morning applying finishing touches to the buildings and its surroundings. Activities included painting, landscaping and making enrichments for the animals!

ACRES

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
