Hi Dr Chan,

I have been helping to locate the owner of a Boxer/Rottie cross dog who
was found without any collar on 26 October 2012 in front of someone’s home
in SS19, PJ. I have also got the dog scanned by the vet and he has no
microchip. Since no one has claimed him up to 17 December 2012, I
helped to transport and pay for the dog to be neutered before putting
him up for adoption. Thus, it would be very much appreciated if you
could publicise his adoption availability on AnimalCare. His details
are as follows:

Breed: Boxer/Rottweiler cross
Gender: Male (neutered)
Size: Big (30.15kg)
Age: 2 1/2 years old (estimated by vet)
Behavior: Although he looks intimidating (a good deterrent to
intruders and bad hats), he’s actually so friendly and docile that the
rescuer gave him his foster name: Baby.
Health condition: His heartworm test is negative and he has been
Revolution-ed against ticks, fleas, ear mites, heartworms and stomach
worms. His blood test revealed that he has tick fever although he did
not show any symptoms and he has finished his 21-day medication. In
addition, the vet instructed that he also takes glucosamine (normal
for big-sized dogs) and thus, the adopter must be able to afford to
purchase Hill’s Prescription Diet j/d (canine – mobility) which costs
about RM269 for a 12kg pack that would last about a month. In
addition, Baby must take Omega-3 oil to maintain his beautiful coat.
Adoption fee: RM400 to partially cover his vet costs.
