Just to give you a small update on the abandoned dogs at Bayan Lepas. We managed to catch 4 females to be spayed on Monday (18.04.2011) with the help of a resident. They were boarded at the vet to recuperate from the surgery. On the same evening, 2 male dogs were taken by Ms. Jong to her shelter just to try out how they behave. They were reported to be doing well and socialising with the others there and at least they are getting a hearty meal from now on. Today (20.04.2011) we managed to drug 2 more (a male and a female) and bring it to the vet to be spayed and neutered. Even after drugging them, it was a wild goose chase until finally they gave up. The female was boarded while i have taken the male to stay with me out of concern. He is a bit big sized and i thought he might be uneasy in the vet's cage. Of course, I've a lot of explaining to do to the others at home who already appear jealous. So, that leaves another two males (papa dog and son) at the site.
Our next mission is either next week or later. I feel very very exhausted. Must admit age is catching up. I would have been a dead duck without Angelina who is so bubbly and had no problem at all to even carry the dogs into and out of her car. God bless her. Will keep you updated.
