Briefly about the kitten :
On 10 Dec,2012 I saw a little kitten laying flat in front of a car in a back alley. My first thought was that it had been ran over and I walked away fearing the worst. However, on second thought I’d better have a look in case it’s still alive and needed medical care. As I slowly walked towards it, it suddenly sprang up! To my horror it was just a piece of kitty skeleton – badly emanciated. I picked it up and took it to my office and gave some cat food and water.
That evening I took her home and gave small amounts of chicken brothwith little pieces of chicken. Since she was starving and the stomach was distended, it was advisable to feed small amounts of food. The good part was that, this little good girl loved to lick the broth and took her time to eat the bits of chicken – hence i didn’t have to force feed her and she waswell hydrated.
Other than being emanciated, she was rather clean, no ear mites just a flea or two. I dared not put any chemical or bath her frail body, so I gave a gentle wipe with ACV to rid the fleas.
3 weeks on, she has now gained weight, dewormed, deflea and on multivits and ready to move on to someone who’s willing to shelter and love her.
