Dear Dr. Chan,
I apologise for not applying before for medical subsidy for E.T,( one of the many pups for adoption) as I did not think it will cost me much to cure her..
E.T.(by another name in Petfinders), a 4 months old pup was adopted by a woman in Sri Kembangan.(through petfinders) . Later, this woman told me she sent E.T. to her sister somewhere else. Feeling not happy and comfortable with the arrangement, without informing me of the transfer, I asked a friend to take me to that place to check on E.T.
When I reached the low-cost double storey house, I could not control my tears when I saw E.T., which I had cared for since birth, was chained to the side fence under the hot sun without any water. She was thinner than before. What was more sickening was she (the sister) told me “ini macam kampung banyak,saya tak mahu..saya mahu kecik,bulu panjang dan lelaki,ini, saya tak mahu.(Can they afford to maintain such a dog, not that I look down on them!)
I took E.T. back! It was indeed a long journey. On the way back, E.T. started vomiting and we headed straight to the clinic. I guessed it must be stress plus the trauma staying with that family. The vet instantly put her on drip.
E.T. is not the same anymore….she is very naughty now….am very worried I cannot get her adopted and she is getting bigger by the day
I do understand the policy of your organization and I do hope you will consider my appeal for financial help as whatever aid I receive,goes back to help my furry friends.
