The Changing Of The Guard
Tweet | ![]() |
And we thought we’d only see this kind of ritual at Buckingham Palace?
No, observe closely, and you will see it in cat colonies too, such as mine…
Ever since the new king ascended his throne yesterday, we saw a big shake-up in the entire hierarchy.
Make no mistake about it, folks, this IS the new king.
At any time, he is on his throne. Regal. Majestic. Kingly.
And he is not the type of King who sits on the throne and lets his army be out at the frontlines. No sirree, like all good kings, he is at the helm and leads his army against the invaders.
And while the King was at the battleground, someone tried to usurp the throne…
But the king’s loyal guard is on the alert, and the usurper is quickly challenged and chased out.
The King returns to the palace after a victorious battle and finds his throne well preserved. Untouched, or so it seemed.
The usurper had been given a second chance to redeem herself.
Shh… Apparently, there was an agreement, ie. “You behave yourself, and we shall not inform the King about your attempted coup.”
But as a punishment, the usurper is now rendered homeless. The loyal guard had taken her home and given it to his own sister! Nepotism? Oh well…it happens in all governments, does it not?
This is the loyal guard, who, we hear, is of royal blood too.
Another loyal guard.
These loyal guards are hard to come by these days…they will fight to the death for their king.
Oh no, another coup d’etat??
Call in the loyal guard….WHO is on the throne now??
