To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>

Hi there Kah Yein,

It’s been raining kittens in my neighbourhood recently. Here’s little Black Tail. Didn’t know who’s baby is this. He whizzed by one day and i thought my eyes was playing with my mind. I thought i saw a white kitty ran across the backlane, but then, there was a flash of black. Was wondering then, until i saw him with my own eyes in the daytime. He is a white kitty, with his whole tail jet black. What a funny combination! Been feeding him with kibbles and nowadays he comes by twice a day for food and starting to allow me to pick him up. I put up a A4 box cover for him in the wet kitchen outside the house and he sometimes come during the thunderstorm to take shelter on the boxes provided. Since it’s year end and i am planning to clear off some annual leave, i am planning to bring him to the vet this week for his 1st vaccination at the vet’s. I would like to apply for the vaccination subsidy and shall await for your approval soon.
Thanks.

Subject: Mommy Siamese Cross (Brown&White) & Batgirl (Black&White) for Vaccination & Deworming
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>

Hi Kah Yein,

When returned from the vet visit earlier today, Batgirl came meowing to ask for food. And since i was free for the rest of the afternoon, i thought i might as well try to catch her and send to the vet for her vaccination and deworming. It took me a while before i managed to catch her by the scruff of her neck, she was very jumpy. Once in the carrier, she went berserk, banging left and right trying to break free. Gave her a minute or two and she calm down. While i was about to put her in the car, the Mommy Siamese seems to be curious about the whole racket and pop her head around the corner to see for herself what’s all the fuss about. That’s when i quickly brought out the food and offered her some. While she was eating, i quickly set up the small cage and lured her inside to get her vaccinated and deworm. I have planned to catch her for a long time now, and in the past, she kept getting herself pregnant. In this year alone, she delivered 2 litters. I am not too sure which are her babies, but when i took her to the vet, her teats are dried and it seems now is the best time to get her ready for neutering. Tried to set an appointment, but dr said that they have stopped doing neutering procedures for this year, as some of the vets will be on long leave starting this week. Any neutering schedule would be after the New Year.
So, off we went to the clinic for the second time today. Mommy Siamese was pretty tense the whole journey in the car, and the same goes to Batgirl too. Upon seeing the vet, Mommy Siamese was so tense that the vet thought that it was best to just hold her down while she’s in the cage and do the vaccinate and deworm without bringing her out on the table and run the risk of her jumping all over the consultation room. All went pretty smooth for Mommy Siamese.
Then comes Batgirl’s turn. She did not make much noise in the carrier, but when the vet was trying to pick her up from the the carrier, she went ballistic!. The vet could not get a tight grip on her scruff and she got loose. She started to jump all over trying to escape. Vet managed to get a hold of her, but the vet got bitten (not serious) and Batgirl got her gums injured a little because of all the jumping around. Both feline and human had their own injuries, but i am glad that these injuries were not serious.
All in all, it was an interesting and adventurous day both for myself, the vet and the felines….
As such, i would like to apply for the subsidy on the vaccination for both Mommy Siamese and Batgirl.
Thank you.
Yoke Mei
