Rescue Adventures For December Week 1!

Jack and Jill, two reticulated pythons, were lounging in the afternoon warmth a few metres apart by a deep drain. While ACRES does not relocate animals in their natural habitats, these two were in the way of grass cutting plans.
So the rescue officers took a while before they managed to get both of them to budge. Jill, featured in the the video, took the cue and headed straight down to the flowing waters, swimming gracefully as passers-by respectfully peered at her silently and in awe- or shock- for some.
Jack was a little confused and it took him a while to realise the grass patch wasn’t worth hanging out in anymore, not with the constant prodding from the rescue team! And so he ventured to a PVC pipe where the onlookers whispered ‘No!’ to him and, finally, cheered as he slid down into the drain. But Jack, who couldn’t be more confused after being awoken from his slumber, headed right AGAINST the flow of water. Don’t worry though, he did a quick U-Turn and flowed WITH the current this time.
Jack and Jill both successfully made it to the large canal in peace and the onlookers now know to call ACRES if a wild animal is injured or dangerously close to a road.
