We had ours made when we moved in about a year ago:
Unfortunately, the contractor had some problems with his maths and got the angle wrong, but still, it has worked…so far.
The netting undergoes wear and tear due to the elements of the environment and this is made worse by Mr G and friends (the neighbour’s cats) who try very hard to come INTO our cat enclosure! Mr G has since damaged three parts of the netting which we have replaced with tougher netting.
Two days ago, there was a between-the-net battle between Bunny and Ginger as Ginger tried to get into our cat enclosure from the top. Bunny (I don’t know how!) had climbed up the ledge in the pantry and was snarling at Ginger (am not exaggerating, you can ask Connie as she witnessed it all). A Feline War was about to break out, but thanks to the water-gun, we water-shot Ginger away.
Bunny didn’t know how to get down after that!!
I climbed up and got him down (yes, lugged all 6.85kg of the Bunnyphant) and then he slept for many hours after that….LOL!
However, the purrfect fence, I was told, is not 100% cat-proof. A friend’s cat scaled out of such a fence and escaped from her grandmother’s house compound! TWICE.
Nothing is perfect or purrfect…when it involves these highly intelligent creatures from the feline world!
Our disclaimer holds.
