Updates from Koo:
Dear Dr Chan,
With reference to your post (
http://myanimalcare.org/2012/11/27/very-urgent-help-needed-to-catch-an-injured-dog-and-send-to-the-vet-ong-soo-fens/
), please find attached some pictures of the poor dog. I’ve carefully
checked his collar and there was no licence or ID tag. I hope the
irresponsible owner will claim him or someone will recognise the dog
based on the pictures. I believe the dog could be suffering from a
broken spine because he couldn’t get up and his back legs seemed to be
paralysed. If no one wants to take responsibility over his
rehabilitation and recovery, I think the necessary has to be done to
ensure that the dog don’t suffer any longer as it would drain the
resources of any NGOs which should be channeled to more effective TNRM
programs. Lastly, I hope AnimalCare will advocate on responsible dog
ownership where an owner should attach the licence tag as well as
another tag with his/her hp number to the collar. In addition, the
dogs should not be allowed to roam outside without any leash or
supervision so as to unnecessarily expose their dogs to such
preventable accidents.
Thank you and best regards,
Koo
