I’m sure you, like all of us here at ACRES, are deeply saddened by the tragic news of Wen Wen’s needless death. Like you, we don’t want Wen Wen’s death to be in vain.

I would like to personally invite you to join us at a Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Service for Wen Wen and the other two wild-caught dolphins who died previously.

On Sunday (2 December), we will be gathering at the Speaker’s Corner to mourn the loss of the dolphins and to show the world and Resorts World that we in Singapore care, we will not keep quiet, and will continue calling for the remaining 24 dolphins to be rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

The vigil and memorial service will ensure that the tragic loss of the dolphins is not forgotten, and remind people about the plight of the 24 surviving dolphins and the need to do all we possibly can to spare them from the same fate.

Please don’t let Wen Wen and the other two dolphins die in vain. Please honour their memory in the best way possible, by speaking up against the wrong done to them and the remaining 24 dolphins. Their lives are in our hands, so please be there on Sunday, 2 December at 6.00 pm.

And bring as many of your family and friends as you can. The more of us there are, the stronger our voice.

We must not let Resorts World get the idea that they can simply get away with the exploitation of wild animals and its tragic consequences.

Please wear the "Resorts World, please let the dolphins go" campaign T-shirt if possible, or a black top.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Yours sincerely,
Louis
Chief Executive
ACRES
