It was a rather lucky day for clumsy Brie, the Black bittern! After having crashed into someone’s house, she was rescued by a kind member of public and called us for help. Brie was obviously defensive like all other bitterns, but fortunately she did not suffer any injuries and was released soon after rescue. Thanks to the caller for helping Brie and our volunteer Xiu Li for documenting our day’s rescues!

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.
