As a follow-up to Amber's case (she has severe TVT and requires the chemotherapy injections), Krystal had requested for a fosterer and transport for Amber.

Currently, Krystal cannot foster or confine Amber (a dog) in her house compound because Amber's presence scares her cats.

However, Amber has TVT and should not be allowed to roam at all.  TVT spreads through contact, and it is a cancer that kills, if not treated.

It is a social responsibility to confine Amber.

We have not been able to find a fosterer for Amber thus far, so it looks like we would have to board Amber at the vet's, and AnimalCare funds do not cover boarding unless it is mandatory boarding as a result of surgery.

Amber does not need to be boarded; she merely needs to be confined and not allowed to mix with other dogs until she has fully recovered.

So, Mary Yap, on her own initiative, began raising funds for Amber's boarding after I found out how much it would cost to board her at one of our panel vet's clinic.

As of today, Mary, through her efforts and the generosity of her friends, has raised enough funds to cover at least 3 weeks' boarding for Amber while undergoing treatment.

I have discussed this with Krystal and she has agreed to board Amber so that treatment can start as soon as possible and Amber's progress can be monitored.

I am now waiting for Krystal to source for transport so that Amber can be brought in for boarding, and subsequent treatment.  If you can help with transport, please contact Krystal directly at 016-2292625.

While Amber is being boarded at Mayo Clinic, USJ Taipan, if you'd like to help, Amber needs nutritious iron-rich food (chicken liver and chicken meat would be good).  If you live in USJ and would like to help feed Amber, it would be greatly appreciated.

Let's work together to help Amber recover.

The TVT has "eaten up" Amber's vulva.

Amber, still active and friendly.

Let's help her, shall we?

Last ditch effort - can anyone foster her?
