Updates from Koo:

I was there at 9am sharp and came across a Indian lady named Theresa who was sitting outside the RA office and wearing a reflective vest. It turns out that she's working as a guard and sets up a table at the RA office itself.

I went to look under the container and discovered that the mother pup has a small pup! So, there's 4 doggies altogether.

Since there was no one else there for a while, I made some small talk. One small talk lead to another and I found out that she's actually friendly with the container dogs who knows her! She too has been feeding the dogs and would cook rice&chicken (leftovers pick up from the market) for them. She also has been unsuccessfully asking around to see if anyone could adopt them because she felt they were beautiful-looking dogs. I felt really relieved knowing that now the task would be so much easier. I quickly explained our tasks and informed her about AnimalCare and MDDB which she was not familiar with. She explained that the dogs would usually sleep under the container most of the day but do come out only in the evening and actually mingles with her.

Then, Azimah called and came to the site with her husband and I immediately introduced them to each other because they actually don't know each other despite having the same goals for the doggies.

Since the doggies were still deep inside the container, there was nothing we can do and decided on the next course of action: Azimah had a big cage which her husband later brought to the RA office. When the dogs eventually come out, she would try to coax one of the dogs to get into the cage. Then, she would inform Azimah which in turns, would inform me so that we can get the dog to be spayed/neutered and eventually re-homed.

Theresa has requested for me to call her manager to allow her to do this and I have done so. I have also asked Theresa to speak to any MPS dog catchers or any dog-hating residents to stay away because we would be taking charge of these dogs.

So, everything's set and I think this Plan B would be more effective and everybody's happy with the arrangement. Now, we just have to bid our time and wait.

When we finished planning our next step, our attention were drawn to 4 kittens nearby of which 2 were of Siamese-like type, so we decided to rescue them. No mother cat was seen anyway and they suspect that the kittens were dumped there. Since Azimah's place is already full of cats, I have decided to foster them but honestly, I have not fostered any cats before. Can you advise me what to do now? I have fed them the pet milk and they are napping now.

Thank you and best regards,
Koo

Working together - Azimah, Theresa and Koo (not in picture)

Koo will foster these kittens.  We have pledged medical subsidy should they need any medical attention.  Koo will put them up for adoption.  If interested, please call Koo on 016 - 6969 272.

Once the dogs are caught, Azimah will get them neutered one by one.  We have also pledged sponsorship for this.
