Early this morning as I was about to start my class, Julia sent a message to say Yinyong had escaped from her house.

Oh dear....

I quickly called up some friends to see if they could help look for Yinyong.

A search-and-rescue was mounted, and together with Julia's son, Shaun, they went scouring the neighbourhood for Yinyong but could not find him.

After work, I also went to do another round of searching, but again, there was no sign of Yinyong.

Their next door neighbour said she saw Yinyong at 5.30am this morning.  That means he made his escape after that.

(But Julia said Yinyong was already missing at 3.30am.  Apparently, MaiMai raised the alarm and let out a loud bark to wake Julia up.  Julia came downstairs and looked for Yinyong and he was already no where to be found.)

Julia had already put up all these wire meshes on her grille.

Yinyong must have escaped by pushing his way out through the wire mesh, then through this drainhole.

This is the back portion of the houses.  We scoured the area.

This is a neighbour's vegetable garden.
If Yinyong wants to be free, he has plenty to eat here.

We hoped Yinyong did not go under these palm leaves.

Right below, is another housing estate.
We walked around this place as well and talked to some neighbours.
Apparently, no one had seen any rabbit.

I'm told rabbits hop very fast.  We can only hope Yinyong is safe.  Maybe he has gone into someone's house.

Julia says Prteepan can still have the 3 rabbits as there are some awaiting adoption now.

If Yinyong ever comes back, Julia is going to keep him.  Not giving him up anymore!

Julia said, "Either he is meant to be free, or he is meant to stay with me."

In fact, Julia was already very reluctant to give Yinyong up, but she works long hours, so she wanted Yinyong to have a better home.

Be safe, Yinyong, and....hurry, hurry home, love.

Please forward this link to friend living in the SS12 area, next to the Sime Darby Medical Centre.

If you spot any rabbit, do please contact Julia on 012-2093767.

Hurry, hurry home, Yinyong...
We miss you so.
