Long time volunteer Lillian decided that SDF needed 3 new salas for certain runs & very kindly ordered & paid for them. But she forgot to ask the makers not to assemble before delivery but to assemble them in the runs. The salas have now been sitting in the grounds for 3 weeks as we pondered on a solution to get them in their runs. They could not be dismantled again & they are so very heavy. Lillian decided to pay for a crane tp lift the salas into the runs. All went surprisingly well. K. Al (SDF’s indispensable handyman) is the brave lad on top of the salas – my lord he’s so agile!
