This is her story:
Dear Dr Chan,
A friend introduced me to your site. I am now writing on behalf of my sister, Cindy.
In November 2010, she rescued Bobby from the streets after he was knocked down by a car. With the help of a vet, Bobby was taken to the clinic. That accident left Bobby crippled and he now walks with a limp. But other than that, he is healthy.
He has been at the clinic for a month and we have paid his vet bill and part of it being donated by Kuan Pet Salon. Since his discharge, on 24 December 2010, my sister has been fostering him in the hope of getting him a home but to date, we are unable to rehome Bobby. My sister has already got three dogs in the house and so it would be difficult for her to keep Bobby too.
Cindy initially has two dogs. Her third was a rescued dog named Beckham. Beckham was left neglected in an unoccupied house in her neighbourhood. Neighbours reported his case to SPCA. When SPCA came to inspect, Beckham was in a rather bad shape and SPCA asked if anyone could adopt him as he would be put to sleep if they were to take him back. Nobody in the neighbourhood wants him. So my sister took him in.
Now with three of her own, she just couldn't keep Bobby. Bobby was an abandoned dog. Cindy knows who his owner was. His owner has been trying to get rid of him even before the accident. They tried to lead him faraway in the hope that he could not find his way home but he did. Then they decided to let him roam the streets and that's when Bobby got knocked down by a car after a fight with some other stray dogs.
We guess Bobby is about two years old now. He has not been neutered yet. The vet said to wait a while after his accident. Most probably he is ready to be neutered now.
We really need help to rehome Bobby. We have attached some pictures of Bobby.
