More Gerbils Adopted! (Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorns)
In March this year, we published gerbils for adoption from the laboratories in University Malaya. Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorn, a lecturer in its Medical Faculty, felt sorry for the many, many gerbils that would be euthanised when there are no longer useful for the laboratories, so we took a long shot and publicised them for adoption. Every little life saved is still a precious life saved, no matter how small.
We’ve had two three adoptions so far (a total of 30 has been adopted), and here’s the fourth adoption:
From Dr Veeranoot (nissapat@gmail.com):
Dear Sis Chan,
I am happy to inform you that our gerbils are still up for adoption.
Last few days, Keng Bee Cheng did sms to me that he read about gerbil
adoption through your blog and he would like to adopt few of these
gerbils for his children since they also have hamsters in their home.
I immediately replied and made the arrangement for our lucky gerbils.
On 5th September, Keng eagerly came to our Department pretty much
early than our appointment time (around 5.30 pm) after working hours.
While walking toward animals room, we did exchange our views about
animals welfare and I am glad that Keng has the right attitudes in
looking after these small beings.
Keng did offer to give a donation to us but I suggested him to give to
AnimalCare society to help the needy animals.
Thank you for the opportunity.
Sukhi Hotu!

Take us home, please!
Choosing the lucky ones.

Dr Yee Ling, Subashini and Thulasi hand over a bag of petfood to Mr Keng.
All ready to go home…to a safe and loving home.
Thank you, Dr Veeranoot and colleagues and Mr Keng, for giving these lucky gerbils a new lease on life.
If you are interested to adopt these gerbils, please contact Dr Veeranoot atnissapat@gmail.com.
